Ingrid's illustrations have appeared in Communication Arts, Scientific American, the cover of Science, in textbooks and trade nonfiction as well as advertisements and print design.

Her nonfiction has appeared in Leonardo Magazine and the SCBWI News, among others.

Recently, National Book Award nominee Charles Baxter selected one of her short stories for publication in the Wisconsin Academy Journal. The story went on to win best short fiction of the year from the Council for Wisconsin Writers.

Other past experience includes design and research for the scientific visualization group at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, arts program administration and advertising design. Ingrid was also the managing editor and contributor to a collection of essays about the poet Rabindranath Tagore.
